Analyzing the Draft by a professional Skins fan but an ameteur scout:

Posted 05-01-11 at 09:40 AM by BG Overdrive

I am not as optimistic as some on some of the players in the draft. Don't get me wrong it was a really good draft but a couple of head scratchers.

Trading out of ten set up the success that we had in the draft. It was an awesome move!

Round One (16) - Kerrigan to me was a surprise. I had him pegged as a 4-3 DE so I was a little surprised when his name was announced. High Motor and Awesome Character, helps but this guy isn't a perfect fit out 3-4 OLB. As I mentioned...

Stop booing Roger Goodell for a second. Put down the Yuengling and Buffalo Wings. Take a break from trying to decipher what the hell it is that Chris Berman is rambling about. What’s that sitting unnoticed in the corner of the Washington Redskin’s draft room?

It’s the biggest pink elephant you’ve ever seen.

The Washington Redskins had the chance to draft Blaine Gabbert, Andy Dalton, Colin Kaepernick, any number of potential ‘quarterbacks of the future’ yet their burgundy...

Like that infamous SNL ‘Point/Counterpoint’ spoof, the NFL Draft debate among Redskins fans has never been hotter.

To go QB or not to go QB – that is the question.

The answer is undeniably, unswervingly, inarguably clear.

Yes. And No.

The NFL draft is fascinating. Despite the ravenous appetite of fans and media-types alike for all-things-draft, the histrionics, second-guessing, and hysterical analysis of whether a given team made an ingenious...

Julia Doesn't Always Fit

Posted 04-02-11 at 10:28 AM by Goaldeje (Cake or Death?)

So I bought Charlie Wilson's War the other day. Why you might ask? It was $5 on Amazon; that, and I like the movie. Phillip Seymour Hoffman is one of the more underrated actors today, in my opinion, and is terrifically funny in the movie. Plus, it was written by Aaron Sorkin who is pretty much money in my book.

Never got fantastic reviews though. You know why? I don't. Though I do have a theory. Julia Roberts.

What?!?!?!? America's Sweatheart?!?!? (Go...

Holding Up Over Time?

Posted 03-11-11 at 01:57 PM by Goaldeje (Cake or Death?)

You ever watch a movie for the first time and absolutely love it? Then you watch it a couple of years later, or even a decade later and can't figure out what the hell you liked about it so much? Movies that get worse with subsequent viewing? Twenty years later, you watch and think, "What was I thinking"?

Meet the Parents is like that for me. Thought it was very funny when it came out, but now when it comes on TV, I might watch a minute or two waiting for something funny,...
